Our Founder Subhram Katamreddy did his Master’s in Industrial Management in New Jersey Institute of Technology and worked at Swale, New York for a year before he came back to India. He wanted to do something and fix the age-old education system, that’s when he learnt about the Montessori system and was immediately drawn into this pioneering and revolutionary pedagogy. So, he got trained as a certified AMI Primary 3-6 Teacher, under the Auspices Teenaz Reporter. In training he went to multiple Montessori schools to make observations and then worked in a school named Anthea Montessori house of children. 

           In 2021 during the midst of a global pandemic he decided online education isn’t working for this age group. So, he brought the materials, teachers, friends and joy back to the children, by forming small bubbles within gated communities and giving them a hands on learning experience again. A Montessori trained teacher was assigned to each bubble and every day physically he/she carried the Montessori materials to work with and changed these materials each week with according to his/her groups needs and lesson plans. Many children were finally able to meet their peers and work and play together physically but in a limited set-up to constrict the spread of the infection. Many gated communities embraced the idea with joy and it was a huge success for House of Montessori in its vision of bringing back the joy of hands on learning to the children and keeping them away from the lockdown stress. Now this gave House of Montessori a lot of joy and confidence to setup a physical school at Kokapet, Hyderabad. 

      Currently he is also enrolled in the Montessori Elementary training, for ages 6-12 years, conducted by Ms. Alison Awes. This will help in becoming a better prepared adult, which will in-turn give clarity on how to best support the child for their next phase of development. 

Ms. Vimala

On our advisory board we have Mrs.Vimala, she was the founder of Buddy’s Montessori house of children in Secundrabad. She was a teacher for 25 years; she is retired now and is working on a few social welfare programs for women in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Ms. Sameera 

Ms. Sameera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Muffakham Jah College. She has previously worked in the software industry. The birth of her son got her interested in early childhood education and child psychology. After working in the software industry for a decade, she felt the soul calling to switch careers and work with children. 

           She got trained in the Montessori philosophy for children (aged 3 to 6 years old), under Ms Teenaz Reporter and passed out in 2020. Before joining House of Montessori, she has worked with Blueblocks Montessori school for two years. She looks forward to learning and growing alongside the children and creating some magic with them that will uplift the entire Universe.
